If the ‘Duende’, the mysterious spirit of flamenco, has a face in the 21st century, then it bears the features of Rocío Molina: It dominates the Zapateado in its toes – and has nothing at all in common with folklore. “Bosque Ardora”, the new creation by the gifted dancer from Malaga, is an untamed game in a forest full of chimeras. Sometimes a woman; sometimes an animal; seductress and domina; goddess and the hunted; Molina enraptures us in a radical and passionate tale of the free fall of love. Two dancers and six musicians are at her side – and under her spell, no one is able to escape.
