A shimmering tapestry full of poetry. It’s all there and indeed performed with great skill – acrobatics on bars and ropes, the gymnastics wheel, a springboard and some juggling. And yet you won’t believe that you’re at a circus but, instead, in a surreal magical world, which is somewhere between Kafka and Charlie Chaplin, against the backdrop of a futuristic industrial landscape, which was inspired by Fritz Lang’s classic silent film “Metropolis“. Grey men pile up dusty mountains of files until an ordinary employee starts to dream. And he allows himself to be drawn into a shimmering tapestry full of charm and tenderness, a poetic review that becomes ever more colourful and ever more energetic. Cirque Éloize, from Canada, turns daydreams into reality.
