Inventio – Marco Ambrosini & Jean-Louis Matinier

19. September 8:00 pm

Nyckelharpa together with the accordion
Who actually says that you can’t groove completely fiendishly to Bach? In any case, it certainly couldn’t have been Marco Ambrosini and Jean-Louis Matinier. Equipped with a nyckelharpa (also known, in English, as a keyed fiddle) and an accordion, they read and write music in a completely new way. They borrow from Scarlatti, Pergolesi or Biber and produce an amazing blend of baroque concert, soundtracks, jazz and trans-European ethno music. They compose, arrange, improvise and, in the course of this, simply break down musical and historical boundaries. And all at once we feel wonderfully light.
