It all starts off quite harmlessly. For, after all, what damage can a robot do? Especially one that was created by man in his own image in the last century. Man controls the machine. There can be no danger. But – can we be sure about that? Without warning, the machine monster comes to life and gives a scary demonstration of its power and force. Friend turns to fiend suddenly posing a threat to those in whose image it was created. There is a juxtaposition of the living and of the inert, as the machine starts to dance a pas de trois with the players. The grotesque form develops a grace in movement that triggers feelings in us. But what is it we feel? Is it love? Is it hate? Is it fear? Is it even possible to have feelings for a lifeless machine? In the end, we can‘t differentiate – neither between our confused emotions, nor between the animate and the inanimate.
