Backbone - GOM
The name GOM of the company from Adelaide, Australia, stands for "Gravity And Other Myths" and this can be understood literally. The company lives up to its name: as soon as the artists enter the stage, the laws of physics seem to be suspended. In risky balancing acts, objects begin to float, human bodies whirl through the air as if weightless and surprisingly find themselves in a supple choreography. Backbone is GOM's biggest show to date, dedicated to the principles of power and strength with flying and rotating bodies, pushing the limits in rapidly changing set-ups to the pulsating sound of a live band.
