Beat Machines – Koka Nikoladze

21.9.2019, 21:00

At first it was just a hobby but then he went viral and raised a storm: the composer and enthusiastic inventor Koka Nikoladze builds fascinating, tiny musical instruments out of everyday objects such as springs, tubes, safety pins, cola bottles and forks that can be programmed yet can also produce purely acoustic and wonderfully rhythmic and melodic patterns. For the düsseldorf festival! the Oslo-based Georgian brings together several beat machines in a live set that looks like a steampunk version of  a mad professor’s laboratory and  which will be brought to life as part of a concert and party.

With the kind support of Breidenbacher Hof, a Capella Hotel und Phoenix Twenty-Two
Funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia
