In the literal sense of the word, "craft" is what Michèle Anne De Mey and Jaco Van Dormael create - because they only let hands and fingers dance in "Cold Blood". In elaborately designed miniature stage pictures, the fingers perform poetic episodes with a kind of nano-dance in an amazingly convincing way, which are filmed live and projected onto a giant screen. The perfect interplay of performers, cameraman, stage technology and effects alone creates the stage magic of a play within a play. The common thread running through the stories is a script spoken offstage, which combines poetry with black humour and irony.
