35 years of the Düsseldorf Festival – an anniversary marked by diversity, experimentation and big names
72 events at 13 venues, 90 per cent capacity utilisation, over 20,000 tickets sold – after 19 days, the 35th Düsseldorf Festival comes to an end.
From 10 to 28 September, the large theatre tent on Burgplatz in the heart of the old town once again became the beating heart of the internationally renowned festival for dance, theatre, new circus and music. The spirit of the Düsseldorf Festival could also be felt at the other venues scattered throughout the city. A festival that is at home in the city and hosts companies, bands and artists from all over the world.
